Pool Hours beginning May 2008

Pool Hours - Pool will follow Harford County Public Schools calendar. The pool opens May 23, 2008. The pool hours are as follows:

Pavilion Rental Policy

Reservations for pavilions will be taken starting Saturday, May 17, 2008 from 10:00am–12:00pm at the swim club. Pavilion reservations can also be made during the pool season. Pavilions can be rented in four hour blocks from pool opening till 4pm and 5pm till close, or the entire day. A $25.00 non-refundable fee for ½ day and a $40.00 non-refundable fee for the entire day must be provided to reserve your date and a $5.00 fee for each guest (whether they swim or not) will be applied. A list of party attendees must be presented at the front gate on the date of the event and PAYMENT MUST BE MADE PRIOR TO EVENT or guests will not be allowed to enter. Any reimbursements will be made at the end of the event by pool management. All guests must read pool rules when entering the pool for the event.

There will be no evening pavilion rental on June 16^th, July 14^th, and July 16^th due to swim team events.

Pavilion Rental Policy - Our LARGE GROUP Policy

A Large Party is defined as a party with 100 or more people invited.

Pavilion rentals can be reserved on a first come first serve basis by swim club members ONLY.

To reserve pavilion for large party use, the request MUST be made directly to management. Pool managers are the only authorized personnel to take reservations for large parties.

The party must be held on a weekday night (Monday thru Thursday).

Guest fees ($5.00 for each guest) must be paid in advance of party date for all guests (swimmers and non-swimmers) excluding current members that are on the guest list and be presented with Party Waiver Form. Any reimbursement will be made after the event.

For large parties, two pavilions must be reserved due to pavilion capacity limitations. Pavilion rental fees are as follows:

o $25.00 per pavilion reservation fee

o $50.00 for two pavilions half-day rental (5:00pm to close)

Food brought in by members and guests must not compete with items sold at the snack bar.

Management will post fair warning that the event will take place on a given night as a courtesy for other members.

Any problems during parties should be addressed to the manager on duty.

In addition to this policy, Fountain Green Swim Club Pool Rules must be followed at all times by members and their guests. See management for a copy or look for posted copy on a bulletin board.

Management has full authority to deal with any situation as it arises and make decisions accordingly.

Refund policy – Please be aware that there are no guarantees on weather when planning an outdoor event. If it is lightly raining and the pool is remaining open, there will be NO refund. If the pool is closed because of a thunder and lightning storm, a refund will be allowed.

Special Fees

Special fees are given to babysitters and day-care children. Please see a manager about these.

Swim Diapers/Pool Breaks

Over the past couple summers, we have had numerous pool closures due to accidents in the pool. Health regulations force us to close the pool down for 5-6 hours as we flush the pool with chlorine and run the entire pool through the filtration system.

ALL children 3 years and younger MUST wear a rubber swim diaper in main pool and baby pool. No exceptions and this will be strictly enforced. Lifeguards have full authority to remove any child not abiding by the rules. Also, there will be a 5-minute break every hour when children will be cleared from the pool. At this time, it is the parents’ responsibility to take small children to the restroom.

2008 Guest Passes

Guest passes will be sold beginning Friday, May 23, 2008 in increments of 10. Guest passes are non-refundable and good only for the current season.

$50.00 for guest passes (10 pack-good for 10 visits)

$8.00 per guest without a guest pass

$5.00 per guest when a pavilion is rented for $25.00

Rules:

-Guest passes are ONLY to be presented by members with guests accompanying them. Members must accompany their guests to the pool.

-Guests should never be in possession of the guest pass. Guest passes presented by non-members will be confiscated and not refunded. The guests will not be admitted into the pool. This will be strictly enforced.

-2^nd offense for a non-member use of guest passes will result in revocation of all outstanding guest passes held by the member and suspension of the member’s right to purchase additional guests passes for 1 swim season.

-3^rd offense will result in the Board of Directors review for possible suspension of member privileges to FGSC.

Family Picture Policy

Family photos will be taken for those who have not provided or had pictures taken last season.
No photo....No entry into the club.

Fountain Green Swim Club Pool Rules

All children 3 years and younger must wear rubber swim diapers in the main pool and baby pool. Lifeguards will be strictly enforcing this policy. No exceptions.

The baby pool is strictly for children 6 years and under.

Lap lanes are for lap swimmers ONLY during scheduled timeframe as follows: M-Th: 5:30pm-7:30pm / weekends 11:00am-1:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm.

Guest passes are for members use only. Guests must accompany members to the pool. Guests should never be possession of the guest pass. Passes presented by a non-member will be confiscated. 2^nd offense will be revocation of all outstanding guest passes held by the member and suspension of the member’s right to purchase guest passes for 1 swim season. 3^rd offense will result in the Board of Directors review for possible suspension of member privileges to FGSC.

Only official life saving swimming devices will be allowed in the main pool for children that cannot swim. Management must approve these devices.

Bottles, crockery, glassware, or other hazardous objects shall not be permitted within the pool fence area, pool room, bathhouse facilities, or in the swimming pool or on the deck area.

No children should be in the pool without adult supervision.

No diving is permitted off the deck into the shallow areas of the pool.

No running or boisterous or rough play, except supervised water sports, is permitted in the pool, in the dressing rooms or shower rooms, on runways, on the diving boards or platforms.

All persons having or reasonably suspected to have any considerable area of exposed sub-epidermal tissue, cuts or known or recognizable contagious or communicable diseases, cough, cold, open sores, blisters, bandaged wound, fever, inflammation of the eyes, nasal or ear discharges, shall not be allowed to enter the pool water.

Spitting, urinating, blowing of the nose, spouting of water or deposit foreign matter in the pool shall be strictly prohibited.

No person shall bring or throw into the pool, or its floors, walkways, aisles or dressing rooms, any object that may in any way carry contamination or endanger the safety of any bather.

Any person suspected of being under the influence of drugs shall be prohibited from entering the pool.

All animals with the exception of guide dogs for the handicap shall be prohibited within the pool fence, pool room and bathhouse facilities.

Use of pool is strictly prohibited during an electrical storm.
