Pool Rules and Policies
- No children under the age of 13 should be in the pool without adult supervision.
- All children 3 years and younger must wear rubber swim diapers in the main pool and baby pool. Lifeguards will be strictly enforcing this policy. No exceptions.
- Bottles, crockery, glassware, or other hazardous objects shall not be permitted anywhere within the facility fenced area.
- Smoking (Cigarettes, Cigars, Pipes, etc) will only be permitted in a designated area within the fence of the facility.
- The baby pool is strictly for children 6 years and under.
- No one is allowed in the water unless a lifeguard is present.
- Any person suspected of being under the influence of drugs shall be prohibited from entering the pool.
- Use of pool is strictly prohibited during an electrical storm (If electrical storm becomes extreme, the management has the right to ask everyone to leave pool facility until storm has passed).
- All bathers must remove any sand, dirt, grass, mulch, etc. from their bodies before entering the pool (Showers are available).
- The use of squirting toys and ball play in the pool will be at the management’s and lifeguards discretion.
- Only official life saving swimming devices (Coast Guard approved) will be allowed in the main pool for children that cannot swim. Management must approve these devices. Any child wearing a coast guard approved life vest must be accompanied by an adult at all times while in the pool.
- No diving is permitted off the deck into the shallow area of the pool.
- No running or boisterous or rough play is permitted in the pool, in the dressing rooms or shower rooms, on runway, on the diving boards or platforms.
- All persons having or reasonably suspected to have any considerable area of exposed sub-epidermal tissue, cuts or known or recognizable contagious or communicable diseases, cough, cold, open sores, blisters, bandaged wound, fever, inflammation of the eyes, nasal or ear discharges, shall not be allowed to enter the pool water.
- Spitting, urinating, blowing of the nose, spouting of water or depositing foreign matter in the pool is strictly prohibited.
- Lap lanes are for lap swimmers ONLY during scheduled timeframes.
- No person shall bring or throw into the pool or it floors, walkways, aisles or dressing rooms, any object that may in any way carry contamination or endanger the safety of any bather.
- No DJ’s, Karaoke machines or loud music will be permitted unless special event coordination has occurred with the Social Director.
- Each member of your family MUST leave their identification cards with the staff member at the entry window. NO ON will be allowed to enter the FGSC without their cards. On your way out of the FGSC, you MUST obtain your cards from the front gate.
- Guest passes are for member use only. Guests must be accompanied by members to the pool. Guests should never be in possession of the guest pass. Passes presented by non-members shall be confiscated. Additional action will occur upon repeated offense of the guest pass policy to include suspension of member’s privileges to the FGSC.
- All animals with the exception of guide dogs for the handicapped shall be prohibited with the pool fence and bathroom facilities.
- The Club/Management is not responsible for any valuables that are brought into the Club.
- The Club/Management is not responsible for any cars in the parking lot.
- The speed limit in the parking lot is 10 miles per hour.
- Parking is permitted only in the designated areas.
- In keeping with the charter and bylaws of the FGSC the management reserves the right to revoke admission privileges or remove any member or guest for “conduct unbecoming a Lady or Gentleman.”
- No lacrosse playing within the pool facilities.
Diving Well Rules
- One person at a time on the diving board
- Must be able to swim UNASSISTED to ladder, to go off the diving board.
- No diving unless the swimmer in front of you is on the ladder or out of the pool.
- No going off the diving board backwards.
- No one weighing over 250 pounds may use the diving board due to the manufacturer’s safety restrictions.
- A diver shall take only one bounce and go straight off the end of the board.
- Parents are not allowed to catch their children in the diving well.
- FGSC staff reserves the right to modify/adapt diving well rules at any time.
Tennis Courts
- Tennis courts are to be used for TENNIS ONLY
- No skateboarding, rollerblading or roller skating
- Please be courteous to other members and share court time. There will be no restrictions on times.
- Please do not damage equipment (i.e. No sitting on net or other activity that will cause damage to the courts.
- Please CLEAN UP any items brought with you and do not LITTER the courts (i.e. tennis balls, empty sports drinks, cans, empty tennis ball cans, etc.)
